Rockstar with Gelish and LED lamp?

Please can anyone share advice on how you do rockstar nails with an led lamp. I tried to put on inhibition layer but when I went to dust off excess none of it stuck! I've been left having to mix the glitter with ambience and apply with a brush then cure but this seems more time consuming and less effective would love to hear how others do theirs! TIA! X

The only thing I can think of is trying a different base colour as I know that one or two of my shellac colours don't seem to produce a very sticky inhibition layer x x

It works great applied over Sheek white hun, it's hit and miss with some colours x

I don't put my glitter in the tacky layer. I sprinkle it on the wet gel then directly in the light. Sometimes if it's a chunkier glitter, press it down with my fingertips first. I've only had trouble with a solid black glitter not curing right.
