Salon in residential area

hello geeks,
just a quick question opening a salon in a residential area how do i market my self to the residents, i need as much help as possible.

Where are you based?
Drop flyers in all the houses!
Drop your flyers in church on all the cars parked in the car park! Drop in all churches in the area.
Go further afield, go to the offices and give everybody a flyer with an inexpensive gift!
Go on radio in the morning say before and after the 8am news, and then at lunchtime too!
