Hi,

I am new here so please, be gentle.

My salon that I have just opened in Rochester was in need of some loyalty cards, christmas cards, posters etc and I was looking around for ages trying to find someone who could supply them all.

I've tried VistaPrint and a few other local printers but they either have poor quality or big prices?!?

I found this new site recently but haven't used it.

Does anyone have any thoughts about it??

Thanks

Never heard of that company i'm afraid- but I know Getty owned images when I see them- and that site is full of them. I wouldn't be entirely sure that they'd be licensed to reproduce them on a large scale willy-nilly.

Its also pre-made template based stuff like Vistaprint I think.

But is it design, print or both that you're after?

Yes, be very careful about reproducing a Getty image without a licence - their lawyers are red hot - if they find one of their images used without a licence, expect a demand for hundreds or thousands of pounds with a threat of court action if you don't pay! Hi Girls,

Thanx for you replys.

According to the nice young lad I spoke to yesterday, they supply over 3000 salons thru out the UK(Do you know of any?!?! Because I don't)

I didn't ask about the images but they sounded pretty authentic. The person I spoke to is posting me a copy of their brochure of products so I will wait and see what that brings and report back.

Thanx,

Hi RC,

I'm from IntelligentPrint.com/Beauty, hopefully I can help to clear up your questions below regarding image rights.

We have licences for all images we use. We can print each one up to half a million times, and ensure that none of our customers ever use images without the appropriate licence.

With regard to our 3,000 salon customers, these include customers in Europe, the USA and the UK. We offer both online and offline design & print services personalised for each salon, so if the templates online don't provide what you need our design studio can always help.

I hope that this helps! I'd love to give more details but I'm conscious that the forum shouldn't be used as a marketing platform. Please give me a call on 01259 760011 and I'll be happy to help with any other questions.

Blimey...you got here quick! lol

In relation to this post, are vistaprint a good one to use in regards to images you need a license for?
my boss was thinking of getting some stuff from them, dont wanna get in trouble!
hope this makes sense, im rubbish at this sorta thing!

Vistaprint are fine in terms of using licensed images.

Much like the other company mentioned on this thread they're template based so you'd have to be aware that there are going to be other companies with the same marketing materials as you.

Thats not always a problem of course- its down to personal taste.

Great!
Thanks for your reply :green:

I've used Vistaprint for free business cards and they were fine.

Some people say vistaprint are rubbish quality but they seemed OK with me.

Recently had a load of flyers printed for sending out to salons. Looked dead good and only took a few days. www.stressfreeprint.co.uk.

Cost £30 for 150 leaflets.

i can provide towels, t.shirts etc personalised with your logo or salon name. my website is not up and running yet, but if you are interested please feel free to pm me.

good luck
:)
