I have a table at a school event in a couple of weeks. I was thinking to offer nail painting with some nail art for kids. I was thinking of doing flowers, any other ideas would be welcome.
Am going to put up my own poster and spray tanning poster and give out treatment menus and business cards. What do you think?

i do flowers, flicks, tiger strips, zebra stripes and ladybirds when i do them

What about transfers? Quick and easy with fun designs for kids too.

Hey

I did our village school mayfair. I put together a set of designs i was willing to do and let the children choose from them otherwise they spend alot of time umming and arring cutting into your time. It works very well. I gained alot of business this way. Most parents asked if i did childrens parties which i dont but said i would for them. Give everyone your cards and maybe offer a 10% off voucher to use in the future.

i'm doing a parents pampernight next week and doing nails.

I charged £3 at school fayre and the pamper night is £8. They have various people doing 15 minute sessions like massage, facial, spray tan, etc... and they pay £8 per treatment

Thanks for your replies. Was wondering about fitting stripes on to small nails?

What kind of stripes? Striping tape or nail art pens? You can probably fit flicks on the nails but wouldn't go with striping tape. Animal print should be easy on a small nail, paint it white or orange and a few flicks with a black nail art pens and you're done and it looks really effective.

Thanks Claire. Have never done kids before so am a bit nervous about them keeping still etc.

I think the little girls will be quite happy to sit and watch their nails being made pretty. Good luck with it all. Let us know how it goes!

I did a school fair a couple of months ago - the kids seemed to love the neon colours... even the boys came to have their nails painted LOL :)

Thanks again. One last question - do I need consent forms if the parent has brought them to the table and paid?

i did one last year didnt get forms as parents there, flicks worked well mainly with acrylic paint as it dries quick.x

Thanks all, much appreciated.

Well, today was the day. The attendance was very poor and I only had 3 customers and they brought their dads with them so I didnt even get to hand out any flyers. Never mind, I had a good laugh with my son who was there to help. I now have lots of flyers and cards. I have left some in my hairdressers - not sure where to go from here?

Oh that's such a shame, these things are usually really busy. Did you have examples of designs up? You could do door drops or ask the school if they do a parent pamper night you could attend? I did one on fri and was prebooked back to back! I was there three hrs and made £80, all I had to give school was ten pounds and a voucher for the raffle. I gave all clients a 10% off voucher to use when booking again.
