Hey

I am kinda new to this site, but not to beauty therapy. I have a foundation degree in beauty and have worked for over 3 years in various salons and mobile. I am wanting to open my own salon, basically saves me travelling, so I can offer more treatments and knowledge to my clients, in one convenient place. But due to financial difficulties and lack of premises available, I am considering using a spare room in my house, but not entirely sure where to start. Can anyone help?? Do I need special permits as its in my house? The spare room is upstairs so would I need to make any adjustments?
I have already researched products and equipment, I just need to start in the right directions.

Thanks

You need to ask your local council for permission, then to check with your mortgage lender/landlord, and lastly check with your household insurance that you will still be covered.
