Im just having a look at getting some more eye shadows, at college we are taught that if the powder shadow is in cake form then the scrape a bit off onto a art palette and use from there to stop any contamination. Now maybe im just fussy but i think this then makes the eye shadow palette look scruffy!

I was using small loose powder shadows tonight and found if so much easier getting some onto a palette.

Pricewise its cheaper and easier to buy a 100 shade eye palette rather than loads of individuals but wondering what you prefer?

Also if u do use eye shadow palettes do u use the scrape technique too?

Thanks

The only way to avoid the scraping method is to use several or disposable brushes. The disposable brushes aren't as good as professional brushes, and it's really expensive to have several sets of professional brushes, so the scraping method is the easiest, cheapest and least time consuming method.

If you do loads of make-up, then it might be worth you getting in your eye colours in loose powder form but until then, you could just tidy up the surround of the eyeshadow pallette with damp tissue.
