Aw do you really think so, thank you, yeah I just need to rope some friends in actually and try play about with it thanks I'm loving this thread xx

Also I'm mobile but I done this in my friends salon(standing in for her while she was away) and must admit I felt better having the big mirror in front as I could look at where the hair was falling better xx

Bekstar you should set up a blowdry class and train us all!! Your blowdrys are fab!! Not blowing my own trumpet but if the hair has a natural wave to it I can do a fab curly blow on that everyone in the salon comments on but.... If the hair is fine and very straight I really struggle to get any kind of definite curl in it especially if it's long... Any tips? x

Me too, if i do someone with fine straight hair I struggle :/ Lots of practice and using the moroccan oil brushes are helping me though :)

Straight hair just needs a lot more tension, Mousse bouffant by Kerastase helps give a good grip aswell

Hope this helps x

That's great thankyou! I usually use head jog brushes which as I say are fine for wavier hair but maybe thats what I need! Iv also been using tigi totally baked baked foam which is good as it gives it hold and helps with the tension, practice makes perfect!! 😃x

Yeah the brush really makes a difference, you can get so much more grip with the Moroccan oil brushes, can't praise then enough haha x

Oh, and make sure you set the hair with Velcro rollers as you go a long, this will let the hair cool, so the curl will stay z

Thank you Hun 👍
I think the key to a good curly blow dry is good products before and after.
With really straight fine hair that doesn't normally hold a curly blow dry for long iv used heated rollers before instead of just barrel curling and pinning or Normal rollers let completely cool down it really does make a difference the key is to let everything cool down fully if you don't do this your curly blow dry will not hold and will just drop and look limp
So my tip is great products (always a blowdry lotion to start with) get that big bouncy essex look hehe oh and after setting let everything cool down
If your dealing with very straight fine hair pop in heated rollers after blowdrying I mean literally take the brush out and wack in a heated roller give it a go and post your pics x

Opps forgot to add I think the way and the direction your setting or leaving brushes in makes a big difference aswell in the way the curl will fall always wind away from the face and going back front to back vertically on the top of the head for great root lift sorry if iv not explained this well x

Thanks bekstar!!! Coming up to (hate to say it but) christmas, big curly wavy hair is always top of the list!! I'm so going to try these techniques! Which heated rollers do u use?
And u explained it very well! 😃x

Thank you I use the babyliss pros heated rollers think mine are 30 pieces il try get a pic x

I leave my brushes in then as I go along when you take a few out and barrel curl and pin I would replace with a heated roller instead literally wack it in straight after the brush so it's still half hot from your brushes If I'm not doing barrel curls or setting with rollers ect I leave all the brushes in a full head off them, don't forget to let everything completely cool down this is the key! Good luck geeks get all your Christmas curly blowdrys on here so we can all learn from each other 😉 x
