The teeth whitening procedure is specifically designed to give you a comfortable and pleasant experience. SmartSmile Teeth Whitening can achieve up to 10 shades lighter in just one visit. The treatment is suitable for most people and is particularly successful in removing unsightly stains left by smoking, coffee, red wine, curry and most other dark staining food and drink. The teeth whitening results will vary for each individual depending on the natural shading of your teeth and the level of discolouration and staining present prior to the procedure.
Teeth Whitening Procedure
The SmartSmile therapist will ask you to complete a consent form prior to undertaking the teeth whitening procedure to ensure you are suitable for the teeth whitening treatment. The therapist will agree your tooth colouring with you before commencing the treatment and will make a note of this. A cheek retractor is put in place to hold your lips and cheeks away from your teeth. A whitening gel is applied to the teeth and is then exposed to our blue light which activates the whitening process for 3 minutes. This process is repeated 6 times. Once the treatment is complete the cheek retractor is removed and the teeth colouring is re-evaluated and compared to the previous shade.
