Hello, well I got the keys to the down stairs apartment last night and im very happy with it.
It is clean and bright with 2 bedrooms and kitchen ,bathroom and a small living area. The bedroom Im to use has a small fitted wardrobe in I can use for storage and it has cream walls and a cream carpet(would have prefered it tiled like the rest of house).
The only thing is it smells of cigarettes all through the house.we are leaving all the windows wide open today and i was wondering if anyone else had advice on whats best to do.

thank you xx:)

My guess is that the odours are in the carpet and/or curtains (if you have any). Soft furnishings absorb cigarette smells.

Technically speaking, your landlord should take care of this.

You can get the carpets steam cleaned or cheaper still try a carpet odour buster. There are loads available on google.

I have heard that burning candles (not necessarily scented ones I don't think) is supposed to help dissipate the smell of smoke but don't hold me to that!

Room Air Purifiers work great...argos sell them

Yankee candles after the fresh air mate x

Febreeze may be.. :)
