But someone in the UK did, Lucky thing!

If you won, would you still work?

I think I'd make loads of property investments and also have a lovely little salon so I could still do what I love. Plus lots of holidays and treating my family, naturally.

Didn't have a ticket but I was going to as I've won a major prize today and my luck may be in.
Football ticket, shirt signed by my team and a football. All presented by a player. I'm a happy bunny 😄

Good things come in threes! That's awesome though, Well done! I don't think I've won anything in my life, No lucky streak for me yet!

I would still work I think you would go crazy after a while without having the interaction with people you do on a daily basis

I would take a very very long holiday to decide how to spend my money then back to work ( maybe part time though 😜)

I wonder how that would actually feel, to know you've won and have to wait till Monday for the banks to open! I'm all for working hard for my money, but I'm getting nowhere in my current situation and I'm losing motivation. So a wee windfall of a few mill wouldn't go a miss 😉 One can dream

Think I'm on the same train as Ashleigh

I would do much the same as you tbh

including a property investment in the south of France

If I won enough to have a fabulous lifestyle for the rest of my life, I'd never work again. I'd travel and do things I enjoy :)

I sold my buisness at the end of last year
I haven't worked only doing freinds and my mums nails on a Friday some Saturday mornings for last three months!!
And I am board stiff only so much cleaning you can do !!All my friends in work !! Got no kids !! Mum and dad off on day trips !! OHalf in work !!
So think I will be looking for a part time position .

I'm definitely one of those people that need a purpose to the day and a balance to appreciate the good things. Maybe I would get back involved with some charity work to give something back too.

I think one of the hardest things would be adjusting from one lifestyle to another and stopping yourself from making crazy decisions. I would definitely invest and would love to open a small luxury boutique hotel/spa in lovely grounds that served great food in a restaurant that was also open to the locals with a reputation all of it's own. No snottyness attached to the high price tag, just A1 service.

I havn't thought of this atall, ever. :o

I made a resolution to not just chuck change in a bucket for charity but to shift my ass and do something. It makes you feel so good it's amazing.
So I'd work raising money and awareness, probably mobilising teams of people. I'd go for Macmillan and a charity for old people to try and ease loneliness.

I'd quit my job for sure and start property developing.
I could not imagine just "chilling".

There's only so much money can do for you, it's a big something but not everything.

A big win would offer freedom and choices. At this stage in my life, I would definitely retire earlier than planned and do the things I actually want to do a bit earlier. Hoping for grandchildren in the not too distant future, so I'd be free to spend far more time with them, plus making things easier for my own children.

Having done voluntary work in the past, this time around I'd choose something to do with animals. I wouldn't want an enormous residence or endless globe trotting. The money would buy me and mine time!

I'd never work again!! I could easily fill my time with travel, the arts, shopping, socialising etc etc.
It must be the most amazing feeling waking up the next morning, knowing that you have 108 million in the bank, and the world spread out in front of you.
*sigh*

The shopping I could easily do for a good few months - Ring ahead to Harvey Nichols and have them wade on me hand and foot, Pretty Woman style - I'm here to spend an obscene amount of money haha!

I was forgetting that this was a slightly older thread, in view of the recent 107m lottery win! Hard to comprehend such a vast amount of wealth and it would depend on one's age at the time of winning?

If you won a million in your 20s, it would obviously do a lot for you, but you couldn't actually 'Retire' on it. Handled wisely, though, it would certainly ease life's path. If you were in your 50s, however, you could down tools and I certainly would!

I sometimes watch that programme 'Escape To The Country,' and that's what I'd do. The money would buy a bit of space, peace and quiet. I think desires and expectations can change, for some, as you get a bit older.

I think this is something I'd do for sure. I don't think I could just stop working or not have something to work towards. But I would visit a fair few places before I settled down somewhere and have my wardrobe sorted ;)

You and me kid, we'll set up together and sit back drinking cheap imitation Champagne (because we will still think it's overpriced) and throw in the odd treatment for self validation that we can still rock some cool nails. :wink2:
