Helloo, just entering my second week and I need to do my ten sets of nails. My mother is law has kindly offered herself up as my next victim, altho she already had a set of acrylic tips on frm last week. Anyone got any good tips to soak off quickly?? Ive only got 4 hours to soak off and do a set of acrylic sculpts...Its taking me about 3 hours to do my sculps (im still sooooooo crap :p) Thanks ffion :)

File the L&P (acrylic) as much as you can, taking care not to file the nail plate; just thin out the product.
Then soak. Should be done before 30min is up.

Hi Princess Ffi, Welcome to the wonderful world of nails. Are you doing L&P nails or gel?

L&P - shorten length if required, thin out enhancement with 120g file, soak cotton ball in Acetone or Recommended Product Remover, place on fingertip and wrap (like a chicken drumstick) with tin foil. Leave for a 20-25mins depending on the thickness of the enhancement (if enhancement is nice and thin then 10-15mins). Unwrap foil, you will see the enhancement has bubbled and then remove by sliding a orangewood stick or simular to remove, if still adhered do not force, re soak until all has dissolved.

Another method is thin as above, put remover into a bowl and bowl into a water bath (warm) and soak fingertips, cover the hands with a towel and leave. (note use glass not plastics)

I myself if doing a new set do method one as when the fingers are free of the enhancement I can get onto the preparation without delay.

Gel: You have to find out is it buff off or soak off,

Trust this helps and by the way I am sure you are not Crap!!!, we all started somewhere and with the right education, a good attitude and hard work the world is your oyster.
