Specialist media/theatrical hair and make-up courses

I am looking into undertaking a specialist media / theatrical hair and make-up course. Has anyone done this and if so any recommendations as i will definately have to move area to undertake this.
I know greasepaint do a private one but also i know colleges do diplomas and even some degrees in this subject.
Anyone who i can pick their brains please ???
