Splitting/weak nails

Hi all,

Hav been doing my mums nails for about 6 months now using shellac. I told her this would help protect the damaged nail underneath. Anyway she only gets a week out of shellac if shes lucky. I know its not my application cos it stays on everyone else.

What cnd polish/treatment can I get her for xmas to help repair and protect her nails?

What about base coat and top coat?

Although I don't use them myself, I've heard only good things about Toughen Up and Super Shiney.
