Now here's a question. When the guide coat and various fragrances etc are washed off, what's left is the developed tan from the reaction with DHA, right?. So if DHA is DHA (like water is water) how can the different manufacturers, of spray tans solution, end up with different developed results?

....hope that makes sense:lol:

They use different concentrations to get different shades.
The lower the concentrate the lighter the tan :)

Thanks for the reply:)

So if I tried 10% DHA from different manufacturers/suppliers the colour and shade of the developed tan would be exactly the same?

No! There are different grades of DHA. If you have a lower grade then the tan won't be as good. It would be like saying all coffee is the same. Sorry couldn't think of a better analogy-lol
The DHA is the ingredient that causes the reaction but solutions have other ingredients too :)

Thanks Angelina,

You've told me exactly what I needed to know:). I didn't know if DHA came in different varieties (like coffee) or if it was all chemically identical (like water)

Ideally you want a solution that contains no parabens, no alcohol, has a high grade of DHA and organic ingredients.
Solutions can also contain moisturisers, aloe vera and erythrulose .
That's why it's a bit of a minefield finding a good solution
