Hi Geeks

I know there have been lots of threads about different insurance companies for spray tanning and the whole patch test thing of 24 hrs, again I have the same problem as lots of other mobile tech's not possible to patch test 24 hrs in advance for tanning. I spoke to babtac who assure me that they only require you to test 10 minutes before a tan.

Just wondered if any of you lovely geeks have had any issues with bad reactions to tanning did your Insurance cover you etc etc.....

Hi

As you have said, for a mobile tan tech it is impractical to go out and patch test every client, however, when you take the initial booking, fill in your client profile sheet and from that you should be able to ascertain whether or not a patch test is required.

If in doubt, make the effort to go out and patch test - that way you are covered.:)

Majority of clients will be fine, only a few might need patch tests 24 hrs beforehand - the rest can be done on the day. For parties, you can patch test everyone if they haven't used you before, and then start spraying. So again, they will have had a good 10 minutes while you are setting up and completing profile sheets/running through aftercare etc.

In 3 years of spraying I have only had one person react. In the event it happens to you, advise them to wash off imediately and see their gp.

Hope this helps:hug:
