Hi geeks,

I was just wondering how most of you spray tanning techs set your prices?

Do you have one flat rate price or do you have different prices?
I have seen some charging different prices depending on which tan is applied, if some offer an express tan etc...

I have been tanning for some time and have only had one price for a full body tan (i do have a price for a half body tan), I charge the same price regardless of what solution I use.....but I was thinking of maybe having a range of options depending on what the client requires....

....what do you think??

I use Vani-T Tan and charge £3 extra for the Velocity Tan (the express one). Nobody ever minds that it is a little extra and they don't tend to go back to the normal ones once they have tried it.
I charge a little extra just because it is more expensive to buy.

its probably best to keep your pricing structre simple! I dont see a problem having a few options but try not to confuse your clients

hi Jenny, we have a private spray tan booth in the salon which comes in a choice of 3 colours each colour is priced slightly more expensive due to the amount of solution that is used. Its only a few pounds difference and none of our clients seem to mind. As said above as long as you keep it simple you should be fine.

I offer 3 brands of spray tan. Fake Bake and Tantrick 5% are priced the same, and Aviva Express is £5 more epensive as it costs me a lot more to buy xx

Thank you all for your replies, I think I am going to stick to 1 price for full body for now. I also have a price for a double appointment if they come with a friend and my prices for tanning parties.

xx
