hey

did u exfoliate and moisturise b4 you had it done?? thats makes a massive differance!! u should also exfoliate when the tan has been on for a couple of days to help it fade evenly?
xx

Hi yes i exfoliated the night before i was told not to moisturise the night before and i exfoliated and moisturised afterwards i didnt exfoliate before the st tropez as i thought they did that during the tan process i just dont know if my skin is too dry for these treatments thank you june1800

i wouldve thought that even if your skin is really dry if you are exfoliating and moisturising when you are supposed to it should be ok?! but the fact that it did the same on 2 differant types of tan could well mean that it is just not good for your skin type maybe. dont know what other advice would help you really unless it isnt being applied properly that may well be a problem!
sorry i couldnt be much help! x

Does you moisturiser contain oil? or was it one recommeded for the st Tropaz?

If it was your normal moisturiser then the oils (if it contains them - usually do) can break your tan down quicker which can leave that patch look, try a product specific moisturiser or even the simple range as they are oil free - or so I have been told.

I too have extremely dry skin and have to exfoliate and moisturise for a couple of days before, including the night before, being tanned. I've not used St Tropez, I use sienna-x-, but after a few days I too find my legs start to look 'cracked', no matter how much I moisturise, or what sort of moisturiser I use.
I have found I get nearly 5 days of even tan with Sienna -x- then I have to exfoliate like mad until it's all gone, or I look very patchy. It's really frustrating, but I think it's just the curse of dry skin.
