Another tech advised me to try using monomer and acetone for 3D which worked great for me and stopped the L&P from spreading, but it is equally possible to do 3D without, as Anthony Buckley showed when he demoed some EZ flow 3D on me at Exel. a good quality product will allow you to do 3D without the acetone as long as you work much drier. cant help on the science bit though..:biggrin:

1) A great way to set the color acrylic quickly is to mix 25% acetone, brush cleaner, or polish remover with nail liquid in your dampen dish. I recommend using this techniqe only for 3d flowers since the solvents will evapoate the monomer faster, allowing it to set quickly. This will give you time to press out the edges of the leaves, giving it a more 3 dimensional look.
