Sun beds

Do any of you have them in your salon? Would you recommend them as a business investment
Any special regulations you need to do and that's the insurance like? Also best company to lease a bed from?

We insure a number of salons with sun beds and used to have no problems insuring pure tanning salons. Insurers have always had concerns with sun beds and in fact we are being restricted to covering salons that do more than just tanning. You may need to double check with your insurers as to whether they are happy to insure the treatment liability for sun beds. There are regulations surrounding the use of sun beds which include individuals who should avoid sun beds, including age, medical condition etc, the length of time individuals should use the sun bed for and how often they should use them. There are more regulations than just these and you can look online to find these or if you do go to a supplier they will go through all this with you.
