hey just after a bit of help, i tried using the warm pink on my nails and it didnt go as i planned.

i did clear tips and blended, applied my white powder ( smile lines still aren't up to scratch but pleased with my left hand my right hand im not so pleased with im not very good left handed), then i went on to use the warm pink.

This was my first time using it, and it just didnt work for me, i dont know if it's me or what, but they were a bit of a disaster. i did zone 2 locked at the side walls and smoothed but when it came to zone 3 i dont know what happened, i did the same as i normally would put my bead on and smooth out, but it just wouldn;t smooth for me, i had ridges and it looks a bit patchy in colour. i've now buffed up all of my nails and they do look better the lumps and bumps have gone but im stil not happy with the zone 3 area. when applying it i felt that i couldn't control it like the sheer pink.

maybe it's just me but any help would be great.

The opaque powders are a little different in consistency just as the white powder is different to the sheers; something you just have to get used to.

I work a touch wetter in zone three as I like the opaque to be slightly less opaque in that area so I can still almost see the Lunula. I think it looks more natural and prettier PLUS it is harder to see the regrowth as the powder integrates with the nail more easily. It is also necessary to overlap or layer your beads for perfect smoothness. CND do offer a class on Custom Blending if you need it.

I'm sure it will all work for you with a bit more practise. You have to be adaptable as a nail tech and not too literal .... MAKE things work for you.
