Hi everyone

I trained years ago to do threadvein removal using an electrolysis machine, I was asked the other day if I had used blend to treat the veins, which I hadn't, only heat, as i was unaware that the galvanic current would be as effective.

What do you use? and what sort of settings?

Yes you can use blend. It is supposed to be more comfortable but I am not so sure. In Sheila Godfrey's book she explains both methods. However her technique is only suitable in you have an Apilus machine. Sterex do blend advanced courses as well for their machines. I use an Apilus but it has a special mode for advanced techniques such as red vein/skin tag removal. Each machine will vary in its current output but I do a test area first with the current being determined by their skin type, needle size related to blemish etc, and the effect the current has on the skin. HTH;).

I trained in Thread Vein removal with the genius that is Gill Morris using a Sterex machine. She told me it was done using Diathermy only. I can't remember what the settings were as that was a while ago and only ever did a couple of times after the training.
