I've got a lash perm booked in for Tuesday so am going to do a patch
Test on my client tomorrow. I'm using the Thuya perm kit where the perm gel
and neutriliser comes in individual packets which I havnt
Used before,

what I just wanted to find out is if I open a packet
To do the patch test tomorrow will the solution still be ok on Tuesday
To use for the treatment as it will have been open for 24hours
or will I need to open a separate pack for the Treatment?

Hope that makes sense and any advice is most helpful!

Hi, i have & use the Thuya perm but my perm gel comes in a tube which you take a small amount from then replace the lid.
If you open the sachet & squeeze a little onto a cotton bud to patch test (take note of the colour of the gel, it should be a slight pink colour) & immediatly seal the sachet as best you can ( fold over 2-3 times & tape down) it should be ok as this would be the same as replacing the lid on a tube. If when you go to use the remaining gel in the sachet it has turned a bluey/purple then discard it & use a fresh sachet.
Dont forget to also patch test the neutraliser & adhesive. HTH:)

Hi i use the Thuya sachets. Once i've done the patch test i fold down the corner of the sachet, put a paperclip over it and then wrap tightly in cling film. Not only will it be fine for your client a couple of days later, but it's worked fine for me a whole month later. This way, one sachet will do two clients and you'll make more money.

It's what we were taught in college. Always store in a cool dark place aswell.
