Hi, I'm new to this forum and need some advice with timings for applying tips with l&p overlays.
I'm doing Stage 3 nails and yesterday took my first assessments. I passed my first one for l&p removal. Then did the best set of nails I have ever done but failed because I was 10 minutes over the allocated 2 hour time limit. That's OK because I realise how important it is to be within the commercial time limits for treatments. My problem is I don't know how much time to allow for each stage. I need some sort of guide line to work to. How long should I spend on applying tips? How long for applying l&p and how long for buffing out? I want to get as much practice in as possible this week so I can do the assessment again next week. Thanks lots. Gilly

Hey chick, break your set into 4 timing areas
1)Prep
2)tipping
3)application
4)buffing
time yourself for each and see how long each takes you, a rough number eg. 30 minutes per section will bring you under 2 hours, see how long each actually takes and then work out if you can improve that section... (you may decide to allow more for one, less for another, eg... 20 min for tipping, 40 for application)

Remember, the better the step before, the quicker the following step will be...
