Training for Glitter Tattoos?!

I'm looking into doing glitter tattoos in my childrens pamper parties, which seem easy enough to apply, but when I rang my insurance cover up they told me I would need some kind of qualification or certificate to say that I could specifically apply the glitter tattoos, as anything else would not cover me. Do any of you know where I can do this training preferrably in Wales and how much it costs.

I do glitter tattoos for parties and corporate events and don't have any qualification. I'm not sure there is one tbh - I've not even heard of any courses, much less qualifications. Who are you insured with?

I too had this problem. If I had a make up qualification it could of been put under that, but I haven't.
It seems odd that I'm insured to wax, do facials and have level 3 qualifications, but can't put a bit of glue and glitter on someone!

I looked into doing tattoos with my spray tanning gun but just with a smaller nozzle and obviously not with spray solution lol.I was told that as long as I am qualified in make-up it would be fine.
If you look on the ITEC website they have courses on there on body painting. Maybe message them and see what this is all about or they may know of somewhere that can train you xxx

Towergate and Blackfriars insurance is the most common for face painters and they will insure your for glitter tattoos. I'm with Towergate as I wanted to be covered for red henna too, which Blackfriars wouldn't insure. In fact, many insurance companies refuse any henna because of the problems with black henna.

It may be easier to take out separate insurance, as glitter tattoos are not something you really need to do a course in. I'm covered for face painting, body painting, airbrush and temporary ink tattoos, glitter tattoos, red henna and spray tanning for £80 per year.

You'd really need an airbrush for tattoos, but if you use a compressor for tanning, then you can buy an airbrush easily and quite reasonably.
