Sorry if this seems a stupid question to most of you, but being new into the beauty business (I start my formal training in Sep) I was wondering what the main types of nail enchancement there is and that I should be looking to train in and offer to clients. From my reserch I have come across Acylics, Gels and Wraps. Are these the main ones or should there be any others that I should know about?

Thanks

Here is a general article that may be of use to you. It is found in the articles section of the site and I suggest you look at the articles and tutorials section to gain further insight (it is what thesalongeek website is world famous for)!

Each type of enhancement also has sub sections, for instance

Liquid & powder systems also include those with odour and those that are odour reduced

Quality of products varies enormously from high to low end from technically advanced to simple low budget technology.

Wraps include silk and fibreglass as well as resins you can build with and those you can't.

Gels very enormously .. high end/low end ... soak off/non soak off ... Hypoallergenic and those that contain many known allergens.

To me the answer to your question is easy. Train in them all but start with Liquid & Powder as it is the most asked for nail service and then follow with gel and last wraps. Go with reputation ... CND has the best training and the best products IMO. For info call 08452106060 or go to www.sweetsquared.com

Good luck.
