US nail tech working in Scotland

My new wife is about ready to start looking for work. She is US trained. She has reached out to a few places and has been told there is a need to attend a fay course to allow her to start working in nails.

Is this accurate? Is this course required before she can start work in the business? If it is she needs to know the name of the course. Can anyone help with this?

Not as far as I'm aware, there are no 'mandatory' qualifications for techs in the UK. Some London boroughs are requiring NVQ level accreditation its hit and miss as to which.

Ask the salon which course specifically and post it here for more info

A day course sounds more like a conversion session to ensure she uses the salons chosen brand correctly. Conversion courses are not mandatory just sensible
