Love russian nail art, and I know gel paint is one of the main things they use. However the price is ridiculous (around £13 for 4ml in a little pot) and before investing I just wanted to know if theres any alternatives. Can you use regular hard gel for the painting? What about soft gel (I mean the coloured kind that comes in a pot that you can soak off)? I would only use the coloured hard gel on top of enhancements as it is stubborn to remove without an e file.
Also when I do eventually buy gel paint is it something I can water down for a wishy washy finish?
Also what brushes will I need with this technique. Synthetic fiber or sable?
