Please help.

I've been doing gel polish manicures since November but I lack so much confidence.

My latest saga is, I've just done a gel polish in French manicure, a week on and my lady has texted me to say its chipped and flaking off.

She is coming back in a few days time and I will redo it.

In my training it said to do the pink coat first, and white tips last, the opposite to a normal polish. Is this right?

Any tips will be gratefully received. Xx

You can do it whichever way round you ornyour client wishes. But the common issue with french gel polish, is people tend to go too thick with the white.

Do you think it's possible you've done this? It's easily done! It just means the free edge will be too thick and more prone to lifting, chipping or peeling. Do you have any photos from when you done them?

:)

Thankyou ...I think I did it too thick! I've read some other posts here. I'm going to try two very thin whit tips, topped with the pink overall layer, then a top coat.

Do you have any tips on how to make the line neat? Brush with a bit of alcohol?

Thankyou for comments. I really appreciate it. Xx
