Hi all,

Are there any hairdressers on here that specialise in wedding hair / prom hair and if so, do you offer any other services as well as hair ups. Such as make up, eyelashes etc etc.

Not sure if I should have posted this in hair, beauty or business sorry x

I specialise in Bridal Makeup and never have time due anything else as I usually do the whole bridal party, although I would love to do hair.
I think it's a skill in itself to develop one area of service TBH as weddings are bigger and more stressful potentially than they used to be but good luck if you do it.
Maybe you could offer a full beauty service but just tailor it to brides only for the ultimate pamper xx

Hi thanks for the reply :) I just want to stick to offering bridal hair, but I didn't know if I'd be missing out not offering any other services to brides etc

Thanks :) x

I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum. I offer makeup, specialising in bridal, and I have recently undergone additional hair training too.
I did train in hair when I initially trained in makeup many moons ago and I have done special occasion and prom hair loads. Just never committed to bridal.
I didn't want to dilute my service but likewise I want to be able to offer a great service to both large and smaller bridal parties too. I am finding that with smaller bridal parties they are keen to have someone do both hair and makeup. That said, I do have a large bridal party who wanted me for both hair and makeup so I am taking an artist with me who also does hair. I love doing both so I really enjoy it. Xx

Similar question (sorry to jump on!) I'm just starting doing bridal makeup this year after doing mostly proms and other special occassions last year to get my experience up..
I'm doing a whole bridal party makeup, and I've suggested that they have make-up, then hair. That way, if I need to pin back and sections to get to hairline, I'm not ruining the 'do'. However the hairdresser has suggested that she does hair first and then I do make-up incase she smudges it/ the bride gets sweaty from the hair-dryer/curlers etc..??
Advice??

I tend to work after the hairdresser but if it's a large group you can end up doing base while curlers are in and so on. I work with the hairdresser rather than before or after x
