Hi, first of all I'm new to this site and I must say it's very useful so far! Ive been doing nails for about 5 years now after a private tuition course and I'm now taking a full NVQ course to get certificated.

My query is that I've just read in a text book that for acrylic infills you should apply the acrylic onto WET primer in the regrowth area. Is that right or am I going senile?

Thanks for your help, Jax

Yes... and no :)

Applying on wet primer can initially increase adhesion (slightly) however at the cost of microcracking and contaminating your application.

If applying over wet primer increases your adhesion noticeably... I would suggest that there are other areas of your prep that would need adhesion.

(in other words... I personally wouldn't do it ;) )

Thanks a bunch for clearing that up, I shall carry on as normal then.

Read you profile by the way and was pleased to see a like minded person, although I haven't got to the jet setting award winning part of my life yet, all just a matter of time......
