I'm looking on taking a beauty therapy apprentice, I have been on my own for years and I'm only a small salon but now I feel I need a little bit of help. Apart from the minimum wage what else would I have to pay them?

You'll find all the information you need here: Employers - Apprenticeships

one loaf of bread a week...butter on Sundays and a day off every other year ...or so :wink2::eek::lol:

You need a tri-partate agreement with the training provider, a contract of employment stating that they're employed as an apprentice to the end of their apprenticeship. You need a college H&S check, an enhanced H&S induction (documented). You need employers liability insurance, fire safety check, Payroll and staff policy documents.
