what does shellac mean? I was talking to a client about it, as Im going to introduce it from next month. Buying the kit from our creative academy when i do my minx training 24th may :D...

anyways....

my clients reponse was a little  Saying shellac was furniture polish, she'd used for ages... i explained to her what it was... but ive just looked on google and lots of furniture sealers and polish called shellac too??

she's right...:)

It is a polish, its made out of bugs (beetles) ... and its in popits ! I dont mean the inverted nail forms I mean the chocolate balls in a box yuck lol yes they put it in food to!

The word 'Shellac' is an old generic term from as far back as the 1800s for wood paint, furniture polish for french polishing, paint for the hulls of wooden boats, the coatings of skittles and other candies.

When people hear the word 'Shellac' they think, hard, shinny, tough, colourful coating. Perfect, eh? :)

aww thanks for the explanations.. but now totally freaked that I eat bugs!!! :lick:
