hi can anyone tell me a good low odour acrylic liquid and powder? I have one that has to be set like gel under a UV lamp but it stays sticky for ages and is no good when it takes two hours to do a clients nails!!!!! Also when putting nail art stickers on, is it best to put them under the acrylic or just glue them on the top then paint over with a clear top coat? Yesterday I did the acrylic first then stuck them on but it was really awkward to get them to stick and i had to use nail glue in the end! :irked:

ps I cant use normal acrylic as the strong odour affects my breathing even with a mask on

You know, even the low odour liquids still have vapours that I would have thought would affect you just the same .. they are there even if you can't actually smell them.
Having said that, OPI do a low odour l&P which is popular with some. It is worth remembering that low odour l&P's while they may be low in odour are VERY high on the reactive list for causing allergy so be very meticulous when handling them ...same with gels which of course are also low odour.

Anyone with the right techniques can make any good monomer low odour by working with it sensibly and managing the odour very well. I use a reduced odour monomer but a normal monomer smell and no one can smell it in my studio ... because I know how to reduce the odour even further and manage waste so that it does not affect the salon environment.

Hiya I have been using NSI low odour L&P and at first yeah it took ages to dry which isnt great but a tip from nsi was to wipe over the finished nail quickly with acetone and it dries really quickly, but to be honest now I have got used to it and I found picking up a almost dry bead helped with the drying process so no need for the acetone.

As for the nail stickers I always put them on top of the acrylic incase the client fancies a change and they are easier to remove, try putting a clear top coat on the overlay once it has been finished and then put the sticker on top of this as the stickers seem to stick better to polish rather than the acrylic, then put a top coat on over the whole lot

hope this helps!
