Hi all

I am looking for a little advice on which portable nail table to purchase as I am looking to set up mobile next year but as it will be my 1st just don't know what to do, what you guys think??

I have seen this one on ebay: NEW PRO MANICURE NAIL ART COSMETIC TABLE WORKSTATION on eBay (end time 23-Jan-10 15:51:16 GMT)

I have also found this portable computer desk (though i could put my uv lamp where the keyboard should go???? :

Zodiac computer desk and chair set - Great Universal

and then maybe buy a gas lifting stool for myself?

Any recommendations would be appreciated as I don't know really what i'm looking for.

Thanks
Rebecca

Hiya, I would say the computer one might not work as well, if you look at it at the bottom it has a bar, ans so depending on who was sitting at that side they couldnt get themselves sitting at the table comfortable, that first one I think a lot of mobile tech's use, I have also heard that ironing boards are good, I have used them in the past and they do the job just fine, depending on the client though, they might not think that was too professional, hth xx

 Thanks for your comment think I will just go for the real thing then x

I agree - the computer desk doesn't look like it has a big enough table surface, as well as having that bar near the feet. Plus, I don't imagine it's portable.

The other table looks much better! Keep in mind though that if you are moving it around, you'll have to take the basket/drawer off each time - you can't really store things in there. I have a table very similar, and the basket got turned into a storage drawer in my fridge... (you can't fold the legs down if the drawer is in place.

I don't mind ironing boards in a pinch, but I still prefer a table. Much more professional! (although, if you search the boards, you'll find tons of discussions on this, and lots of people disagree with me on this one)

Good luck!

Hi, I bought the ebay manicure table you are looking at and I am very pleased with it. It folds neatly with drawer in place tho not sure stuff would be safe in there when transporting, and it has a reasonable sized work space. Only downside for me was it doesnt come with a carry bag. HTH :green:

Hi i bought mine from Lakeland.co.uk its just under £40 really light and wipe clean, fits in the back of my car nicely. i had bought one from ebay but got ripped off, got my money back from paypal and after reading on here about lakeland, decided to buy that one instead and in my opinion its so much better.
Happy new year.

HIya.. i found the table in the link was quite heavy to carry around (13kg) but it does look good, plus like said above, u have to remove the drawer which doesnt fit in the carry case... again a pain as u also have ur case to carry....
tried the ironing table method... found it wasnt very stable wobbling when ur filing etc an also as its not that wide u cant sit straight, u have to sit with ur legs crossed to the side as ur clients legs are where ur legs shud be :-(

I bought a table and chair set from Ebay mainly for my portable makeup's and nails and for shows. The chair is brilliant for makeup's - guess would be good for mobile hairdressers to. The table and chair are very light, robust and come with a cover. The table is also height adjustable, wipe clean surface, I had to get a small block of wood under the table worksurface so lighting could be fitted - guess the same would go for a magnifying glass etc. Delevery was by courier and very quick - 100% feed back. It's sold as face painting chair & table but for mobile therapists and use at trade shows - lightweight bargain.

you can find it here they sell the chair & table seperately I think too.

Hope thats of some help

Chris :)
