]hi all
would like to pick your brains
i have just completed the essential nails acrylic overlay and maintenance course (not yet had my results).
my problem is finding a product that works for me, i am a bit bamboozled by all the different ones out there, and am slightly unsure of what i really should be looking for:eek:. i have done a few sets of nails on friends with the products that came with my course but i dont think they are very good and have experienced lifting although i feel that i have preped correctly.
really want to try some other products but not sure where to get them or which ones are best :grr: if anyone can help me with this i would be very grateful.

regards
jo

its always difficult to be sure if its the product or the technique especially when you dont have face to face education with your tutor since its not possible for them to observe your pre process first hand.

are the nails lifting soon after application, and in which area ? maybe we could help you with this so theres no need for you to reinvest.

i always have good results with lechat nail architecture acrylic l/p and my clients are very happy with it.

Everyone is going to say the best product is the one I use - this is generally because they are 'trained' how to get the best result from that specific brand (hopefully)

As a novice I hate to say it but many of the issues you are and will face will be a direct result of your skill and experience and only perfect practise will make perfect nails.

It takes most techs 6-12 months of intense practise to reach a point of confidence with their skills - until you are master of your own ability not even the best product in the world will help you overcome issues such as lifting...

My suggestion is practise exactly as you have been taught, if you do not see improvement, then you may well need ongoing education, and in my opinion this should be done where a qualified tutor can watch and help you hands on. I have never seen how a mail order drivers license would inspire a lot of confidence for me to get behind the wheel of a car.. ;)
