Will tint lift tint?

I used Igora for grey hair silver white on a client using 6%. He now wants it lighter, can I do it again with 12%. Or will he need a bleach bath He has very short hair. I’m old school and in my day tint wouldn’t lighten tint. Thanks in advance.

Try mixing bleach powder with shampoo at the basin, to lift tone. That’s probably all it needs. Definitely don’t use 12% as that’s not going to do anything useful.

You will need to re apply a toner yes, because bleach and shampoo /water removes tone.

It depends on what you’re left with after the bleach wash. In some cases, the wash lifts just enough tone out to leave a nice colour behind.
