I would like to hear people's thoughts on using Wales for business. I would like to hear why you would OR would not use Wales for you business. Especially the Nail & Beauty Industry!

Well why not?

But what do you mean in more detail, e.g. basing head office of a company in Wales, running training in Wales, etc?

Well actually any part of the Nail and Beauty business. But I'm interested in larger companies coming to Wales to do training & maybe invest in setting up a base there. Some Salon wholesalers only sell selected brands, and it seems to be tha same brands in every one!

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by your original post....

If you're asking whether large Nail and Beauty supply companies would travel to Wales and use an existing venue for training then the easy answer is yes - they already do. If the business is there then people will travel.

If you're asking if companies would set up a permanent base there, well that's a little more complicated and could only truly be answered by each individual company....

If you keep your question at such a high level you'll get high level responses that are unlikely to answer it. I sense that you have an idea, strategy, plan (possibly cunning :)), aim, desire etc. if you share it with us you may actually get answers that are more useful to you.

The most common answer you will receive is that any big company will come and train in Wales if there is the interest from potential students and a market to be leveraged. They may setup bases if it is profitable, though it is more cost effective to use existing venues, initially.

There used to be CND training in Bridgend, but no longer and Ezflow have been training in Cardiff for over a year. I'm sure there are others.

Though it would be nice if the world came to Wales to train us, sometimes we have to venture over the bridge to find courses. If I had a pound for every mile my wife has travelled for training, I'd be off out to replace the car !!

Regards

Mike

But I thought it cost 4 or 5 times as much as that to pay the toll to get back into Wales over the Severn Bridge!!! :green:

i did 2000 miles in total to complete all my training for nail and beauty.......... i live in north wales near llandudno, there was not a lot of options, and i do believe that most people living in a rural area are resigned to travelling for the things they want as they know that there is no other choice. its a two mile trip just for milk!
