Yellowing of the natural nail tip.

Why is it geeks that some ..well two of my regulars when they loose an extensions the tips of their natural nail is yellow please?:irked:

Is that just down to wearing extensions for too long or am I working too wet ?

ohhh i wanna know that 2...i did my toes with gel overlay i took them off and they look so yellow i used the ibd gel......!!!!!! i don't know what is the best thing to do with them now....

Honestly girls, this is just due to staining of the porous free edge of the nail. Once it is trapped under an overlay, it is hard to flush that staining away and you know yourself women are right mucky creatures and do not clean under their enhancements with a nail brush often enough. :irked:

Tea, makeup, curry, and other more horrible things just stain the plate. 3 weeks between appointments is a long time to let your nails go uncleaned!! You will always notice that some are stained worse than others ... the using fingers naturally ... and some women (the more conscientious ones) don't have the same problem.

I always find false tan to be the worst culprit, I have one customer who's nails are permanently stained from using it.

When asked frequently if she used tan she would say "no", then after weeks of puzzling, and repeatedly asking, she said "well just once a week and only on my legs".
She couldn't understand how using her hands to apply it would be a problem?? she now wears gloves by the way!

Anyway to get to the point, when you come across something unfathomable happening to your work. It's usually down to your customer doing something they're not letting on about!
