You don’t need training but always a good idea. Training is provided by Louella Belle who also supply IBX. Their trading also includes the new product IBX Boo. https://louellabelle.co.uk/courses
I have recently started using IBX Boost and on my first two clients I have had two different reactions.
The first is removal, I used Boost base then a layer of Boost both applied thinly. Followed this with 2 layers of Shellac colour and Shellac original top coat. After two weeks I buffed the top...
I have both but prefer the LED. Always buy the latest design available that way you keep up with trends. Not sure they will discontinue the bulbs any time soon but you never know, with LED you don’t have that problem! The LED lamp is like a Rolls Royce when comparing to the UV version.
Make sure your cuticle work is thorough as Shellac only adheres to nail plate so a good pep is essential to any gel polish lasting. Apply Base thinly, in fact all coats should be thin ‘ Thin to Win’. If clients nails are thin and weak apply a thin coat of Original Top Coat after Base before 2...
I’m not sure you should offer any Shellac service without cuticle work as you would not be giving the client a true Shellac Treatment. It’s all in the preparation that makes Shellac stay, cut corners and it won’t last causing you problems and clients not returning.
I have a client like this and it was not the gel but actone that was causing the problem. The itching etc would come on in the evening after I had done her nails no matter what brand I used. I put Vaseline on the skin around the nails before I wrap. And after I’ve done cuticle work she washes...
I use Evo and find it brilliant. The coverage is excellent, I love the brush! The base coat is the best as you can also repair with it and the top coat has great shine. Some clients need more strength so I add another base after the colour before the Top Coat.
You can use the base under Bio...
Has anyone tried this product?
How does it compare to Brisa Lite, is it Smooothing Gel or Sculpting gel? Because let’s face it the container is a Brisa Lite container with IBX logo?
I got the chance to read the instructions and it does say you can refine also infill so sounds as if it could be...
Just keep going! It really does work but some times they have to be patient. It has changed their life for some of my clients!!!
I have a client who always had a deep ridge across her thumb, I started her on IBX but not for that reason as never thought anything would cure as it was from damage...
Yes buff, wrap and put in mitts. Without sculptures leave in mitts for 10 mins. Can use clips as Bio also sell these to use too. You will have to do a course with them to buy their products though.
Definitely the client. I would say food, turmeric in curry powder. She doesn't have to cook it herself either. My daughter-in-law came back with the same staining and when I said either fake tan or curry had caused it she denied both. Then when she thought about it she admitted to having a take...
If they have not been opened too much they will be fine. They get thicker when te air gets in when we are using them, catch 22!
I have had some odd colours well over 12 months and they are fine.
