    Black eyebrows

Yes she booked for the wedding which is in Mid August. She is a regular client for waxing and toes so booked me a while ago. She does have some brown hairs though, at the start of her brows, its the middle and ends of it that are very blonde and very patchy looking. So even with the black...

    Black eyebrows

Yeah I know I can't make people change what they always do. They just totally spoilt the whole of her make up. It looked fab and then she did the brows and it looked awful :-(

    Black eyebrows

I had a wedding trial today, the client doesn't really have any eyebrows, they only grow a tiny bit and there isn't really any hairs to tint either. I did mention to her about a month to let me tint them but she really didn't want to. Today doing her make up I penciled her brows in according to...

Make up trial - 4 long hours!

Yes she sent me a text message on the Sunday evening saying she was going to do her own make up now instead. Which is just as I thought but needed to know either way. X

Make up trial - 4 long hours!

Yes I took payment for the trial. I totally appreciate people having different trials etc but leaving it to just 2 weeks before the wedding seemed like cutting it fine to me. I will wait until Monday and leave one more message then assume she doesn't want me. X

Make up trial - 4 long hours!

I need some more advice on this one please. When she originally phoned me she didnt know if bridemaids would be having make up and possibly her mum. I said to find out by time I do her trial (the following weekend). At the trial she still didn't know if bridesmaids were having theirs done...

Make up trial - 4 long hours!

When she phoned me I did say allow 2 hours for the trial so don't make any plans until later in the day. The £25 I charged is the standard price round here. Couldn't believe it when I finished though and she asked if she said so do I owe you anything for today or not!! X

Make up trial - 4 long hours!

Thanks for all the replies. I just got myself a little worked up yesterday as in the end I almost felt like she was saying yes just because she was getting bored. This is the first mature skin I've done since my training at college and it was defo hard work! I think like you say, some people...

    Latex gloves affecting Gelish?

I wear gloves when doing treatments because I've got dermatitis but my Gelish is always fine. I am just so stuck to what could be causing it to come off :(

    Latex gloves affecting Gelish?

Hi I've got a regular nail client who has had Gelish on every month for a year and 9 months. It always lasted her 2.5 / 3 weeks with occasional chip here and there but she knew why. The last 4 / 5 months it is only lasting her a week at the most. She says it just starts to lift then comes off...

How much time shall I allow for bridal make up

Thank you. Do you think the make up will be last the duration starting at 8am? I have bought a good primer and some setting spray today which I'm going to try out on myself this week xx

How much time shall I allow for bridal make up

Hi. I have my first bridal booking coming up soon (the trail being this Friday) and I'm not how much time to allow for the big day. I thought one hour per person just to be on the safe side? When originally booked there was 6 people in total so I said I would need help from a girl I trained...

    Wedding Trial Make up

She is having a pre wedding photoshoot the day of the trail so I've left 2.5 hrs to make sure it's all perfect and time to write notes etc. I'm going to buy a good primer this weekend as that's something I don't have. The only foundations I have are in my make up kit I got after college. I use...

    Wedding Trial Make up

Thanks. The bride is someone that I used to go to school with so I'm extra nervous! She has quite small eyes. Do you have any tricks to help open them up a little? It's so long ago since my course, I need to read up on some tips xx

    Wedding Trial Make up

Hi I have my first wedding make up booking this year and I'm very nervous. It was booked for August but they brought the wedding forward to March and she's just messaged me asking for the trail next weekend! I'm now panicking even more! I've not done any make up since leaving college nearly 2...

Loyalty cards - what offer do you use?

Hi I have been wanting to get some loyalty cards made as things seem to have gone a little quiet over the past few months. I'm just not sure what offer to use. Don't want to do myself out of too much money but again want it to seem a good deal for the client. Can anyone share what loyalty...

    Is it a messy job?

Hi I really want to add spray tans to my treatment list but as I'm mobile, I just wanted to ask how people find it being mobile. I know lots of people do it mobile but is it a pain setting up the tent and machine just for one spray tan? Do you clean it there and then or wait until you get...
