Hi

I have a new lady who wants me to take off her acrylics and put on gel overlays, having never done acrylics, how do you go about it is it the same process as removing gel, have heard that it takes a lot longer, which is the quickest way to remove them and would you charge extra for this.

Thanks
Becky

Hi, you'll need to soak them off using acetone, and as she wants a gel overlay take care to keep some length.

You could do a rebalance but, sometimes better just starting from scratch so no problems occur :)

Is it buff off or soak off gels you use just now? xx

I use Lechat soak off gels.
How long do the acrylics take to soak off and do you do it with foil or soak in bowl.

Thanks

First take down the bulk of the acrylic, so file as much as you can off the nail...then place all fingers and thumbs in a bowl of acetone ( warm acetone works quicker, so if you can place the bowl of acetone within a warm bowl of water this will help) cover the bowl and hands with a towel and leave for about 20 minutes or so, then remove product off nails, then badda bing all done :)
