Hi everyone, I am an Esthetician that graduated in Utah with 1200 hours, and that included manicures and pedicures. No acrylics, just spa mans and peds. I relocated to Austin, TX and now I have to get a nail tech license just to touch anyone's nails! I don't want to do acrylics professionally, but the licensing division here in TX told me that since I've already graduated and am currently licensed, if I could pass the nail written and practical they would give me a license. All I need to learn is acrylic application to pass the test, and I'll never do it again. Is there any way to learn without actually going to school for 5 months? Can anyone help me?

Well you could always pay a nail tech to do the exam for you (joke)

no there is no other way and i think you will find that there is more to learn than just application,
there is product chemistry
health and safety
and probably lots more modules that your state will want you to know before giving you a licence
