I have been getting my hair coloured for the last couple of years and always used to wash my hair in the shower the morning of my appointment. However was talking with a friend yesterday who told me its better not to do it the day of the salon visit? Is she right?

Although I'm not a hair geek, I've always been advised this too.
I think it may have something to do with the colour adhering better to hair which hasn't been washed so recently.
Hopefully a hair geek will enlighten us both.

Completely untrue about colour "sticking to the hair".
It can be better for your scalp to have an acidic layer of sebum on it when colouring, as it is less irritant.
