hi geeks all my glue bottle lids are stuck any suggestions how to get them off? thanks x

Brute force and a pair of pliers!

Your ADHESIVE (we don't use glue in our business) lids would not get stuck if you screwed them on as tight as you can after using. Most think if they leave lids a bit loose it will help .. IT DOESNT. Lids need to be tight.

If the lids are on tight, it won't matter if they fall over and another trick is to put a small piece of bluetac on the bottom and they won't fall over.

i do them up tight it always happens thanks for the bluetac idea i will give that a go

Don't forget to 'burp' your adhesive bottle before putting the cap back on tightly.
This is done by gently squeezing the bottle whilst holding it upright, this allows any adhesive still in the neck of the bottle to come out, wipe it with a nail wipe dampened with scrubfresh, the pop your cap on. If you don't do this burp, the adhesive in the neck of the bottle will harden if the cap is not on tight - so give it a go too.

As for getting the glued up ones off - I use pliers.

Hiya, i use to get this problem to a good trick is wipe off any excess then rub a little solar oil or what ever cuticle oil u have around the top before putting the lid back on stops it sticking to lid works for me!:D

thanks nailzy i will give that a go x

a pair of nutcrackers is excellent for opening glue and polish when theyre stuck.

I wonder why it is that I never use acetone or oil on the nozzle of my adhesive and it never gets stuck???? Funny that.
