Almond shaping using tips

Hi everyone! People using tips and acrylic how do you get your almond shape acrylic nails? At college i was taught to clip both edges with nail clippers?
Help needed!!

I use nail scissors to create the shape then use a file to tidy it x

I just shape it with a file. Watching that video, it didn't seem to save any time particularly? ...although, it may save my files and fingers a little bit
