Hi :)

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this brand?

I enquired about courses at my local college and when I asked what brand they used this is what they said, but I have never heard of it!

I never thought it would be so hard finding courses that I want to do to get the qualifications and skills I want!

I just wanna be a nail tech, hairdresser and do eyelash extensions and tinting but in my area there seems to be nothing to cater for me. Not even a good hairdressing course!!!

Sorry for the moan, but maybe someone will feel my pain and make me feel better

Anyway back to the origional subject... American Nails... Sounds cheap and nasty to me, but hey what do I know!

Thanks in advance for any replys

The American Nail Academy up in Auckland uses Tammy Taylor so maybe (maybe?) the college is getting supplied by them, hence they use TT?. Hell I'm from America and never heard of American nails (LOL).

You should live over this side my sweet, we have a hairdressing college and WelTec. Wait, don't you have a polytech over there in Porirua? Whitereria (sp?). Is that where you went?

Hi :)
I very much doubt that the college is getting supplied Tammy Taylor products, beause he clearly said "we use a brand called American Nails" and then followed to say that they may change the brand as the nail tech that is teaching it may not continue to teach (due to them moving the classes to Kapiti instead of Porirua). He also said that before American Nails they used another brand that I had not heard of :S
And yup it was Whitereia that I went to, just want to suss out all my options but looks like they are definately not one.

I emailed the EZFlow people, I havent heard back yet but im sure I will at some stage :)

American Nails are a very good brand the problem is that they are a bit expensive even more than Creative, EzFlow , Nsi etc.... but as for there products they are very good... They are a very big company in Germany , France , Ireland.. But don't have a supplier in the UK have a look on www.american-nails.de don't worry they are not a cheap and nasty product, there nail varnish is a realy good and economic, hope this helps
My Mother used American Nail for about 6 yrs and had no probems only changed because a different brand offerd a better work oportunity.
Good Luck!:)
But i do Know that EzFlow Education is IMO is one of the best!

Hi!
I have tried American Nails gel and L&P and they are very good! HTH

American Nails is a cheap chain salon here .... often known for using MMA, but that's in Australia.

It is cheap and nasty, almost like "American Finance" really.

Hmmm I think that's the brand of acrylic they had me use at my school. If it's the same brand, don't get it. It's this really cheapy stuff, and the liquid is absolute crap. I trashed the stuff after the first 2 days!

Thanks for all the replys guys :)

Im guessing that it probably is the cheaper stuff that people have mentioned, because the types of schools that they are, beauty isnt their main focus so they would not be wanting to go all out for it.

Man this is fustrating, does anyone want to come for a holiday in NZ and give me some training while they are here? haha

i trained with ezflow and although good products their technicques are all back to front to me as in product placement i recommend tammy taylor they should have an educator in the wellington area infact i know they do =) i myself am moving to wellington in a month =) yay yipee i a going to be doing a tammy taylor transition course.

Interesting that there is a trainer here in Welly as we can't get product down here. There is a new distributor up in Hamilton though, but bloody hell if it isn't expensive (compared to item cost in the US). I use TT and am training in Ezflow at the beginning of next month (ass backwards from you LOL).

Where in Welly will you be? I'm in Lower Hutt. PM me!

Hey :)

In what way do you feel that ezflow technicques are backwards? As in reverse application?
I might have a look to see what TT has to offer :)
ezflow rang me, and they sounded good, but always good to know all ya options, as I found out after my rubbish 'creative' training!

Can you explain what you mean about the product placement being back to front?
