Can clients shower a couple of hors before getting a spray tan? I usually tell them not to, but can they?

I was taught that they should not bath or shower for a hour before a tan. I have some clients that do just that and have never had any problems. HTH

I was always told not to, howeverI usually shower myself before a tan! Ironically, tan solution works best on sweaty skins!

Would showering be any different to offering full body exfoliation immediately prior to the tan? Probably not and yet I offer it so I wouldn't have thought showering would pose a problem as long as nothing was left on the skin.

Showering immediately before a spray tan alters the PH levels in the skin,
the spray tan solution will work better on slightly acidic (sweaty) skin,

so they can if they like shower before a tan but will get better results if they don't, hth
