Luckily mine made it to it's destination but if the parcel had gone missing in transit and hadn't made it are you saying I wouldn't have been able to take part next year?

As was previously explained for SS2006 & SS2007, when the recipient doesn't receive their gift, the sender is put on a list and not allowed to participate the following year.

Regrettably, there are some honest 'Santas' who get struck by misfortune and it's a drag.
But unfortunately, I don't have a crystal ball at my disposal to tell me who is an honest Santa or who isn't.

This is why I urged people to send parcels that didn't cost a fortune and to instead spend the extra 0.50cents to $1.00 to send it registered or at least insured.
All 13 of my parcels were insured, and it cost me about 0.50cents each. Well worth it, I think.

The Santa still has the option to send another gift to keep their name off of the naughty list.


REMINDER TO EVERYONE
Please don't post on the thread who didn't send to you.
I do NOT like to play the "name & shame" game.

Also, I am not "reassigning" Santas as was done last year. It's not fair to ask other's to pick up the slack.

Well its my fault for not being properly aquainted with the rules that I didn't know that bit. Next year though I wont say then if mine didn't come, I'd feel like I tittle tattled and got someone detention for a situation that might very well not have been their fault. :hug:

It's way early yet, it usually starts later in the year. Victoria is just checking now to make sure everyone got their gifts last Christmas :hug:

You probably forgot love. that post was so long with details, you likely grew bored LOL (I know I did - get bored that is - writing it all out so that all would be clear and fair and square hahaha)

I'm not sure that's a great idea though. For then what if someone is dishonest and keeps playing and keeps getting gifts and never sends?
There are always pros and cons with games like this.
But I do understand how you feel

well im a bit miffed i cant do it this year, i didnt recieve mine, and the person i sent to didnt recieve theres. at the time there was a postal strike in stoke, so perhaps that had something to do with it. i will just have to treat myself instead.:irked:

I dont see the point in this thread for replies - the geek commandments state that if your message is for one person then PM it - as your replies will all be directed to Victoria, please send them by PM.
