I was wondering has anyone ever tried the new Aquarium Nail Tips by Glam and Glits Nail Designs?

It looks really good but I want to know how it is first.

website: www.glamandglits.com/tutorials.html

Thanks in advance!!

I've seen aquarium nail tips done before, but they looked really clumsy and ghetto so I never really liked them, but those look so cool!

Holy crap 50 bucks for the whole kit? That sounds too cheap, but then again it's not like it comes with the light or anything so I guess it's not too cheap then.

I wonder how we're supposed to remove these though? File the edge till the water comes out, and then the usual cotton ball method?

They are much neater than any i've seen before. The drawer backs will be that you cant reduce the length and the tips will be thick.Havin said that wth they look great fun and will certainly get people talking and get you noticed , let us know what you do x

Have you thought of making your own ones? There's a few videos on how to do them on youtube, or googling it can lead you to some videos too.

Love the idea (having just watched some youtube vids) but not sure how practical they'd be for me

The Coolest Aquarium Nail Art Tutorials Ever

A bit of faffing about maybe, but if they're not available in the UK yet, then perhaps playing about when you've got some spare time and see how you get on. It's something I'd do if I'd had a spare couple of hours (I wish haha)

the site is coming up 'under construction'?

Yea, I got that too, and as I'd never heard of aquarium nails, thought I'd do a google search. I'm quite fascinated by them, but will be deleting my browsing history before my daughter spots them!! Lol

I like them but I don't like having to use all the nail art to cover up where they are tipped on.

I'm wondering if you could use a cover powder in reverse, make yourself a natural smile line then use the clear on the F/E??
I wonder if this would look ok or not?

I make my own aquarium nails using popits. They work out really well if a little labor intensive. But the way I do them with the popits, the aquarium is over the whole nail, not just the tips. This allows for a more natural length.

Ohh I'm very curious. Have you a tutorial to share?
How are they done with Popits?
Looking forward to hearing more.

Not really. I always forget to take pics as I go and I never stay in range if I try to video. LOL! I do have a shortened little bitty slideshow on my photobucket: Nails :: Aquarium Nail slideshow by odell_82716 - Photobucket
It's not very good and does not have a lot of info, I was just trying to help someone get an image in their mind of what I was talking about as I was talking them through it.

Wayyy cool!
Oohh I have tonnes of questions on that one.
I 'kinda' understand your steps, but could you please write them out?
The slideshow doesn't explain if the gel is 'wet' or 'cured' at the given stages and so on.
Really cool method. Looks simpler than other methods I've tried.

Well, since it is my day off--I will have a look at it and see what I can do!

Try this link instead. :)

yeah, i have just baught some, i should have them over the next few days. i baught them off ebay instead of the site. from the looks of things though, you can reduce the length as the opening where you put your art and glitter is at the end but im guessing youd have to be very careful so you dont crack the end or somethng. i wouldnt use a UV gel like the website sujests cause its quite runny unless you use something like the nsi balance clear sculptor cause its super thick. im gunna be using acrylic out of preferance. ive ordered 2 packs of the tips cause i think im going to be falling in love with these XD

ill psot again when i recieve and try them out. xoxo
