Pretty please can someone help me, as my head is beginning I feel as though it is going to pop !!!

Over the next 5 years i am planning to study and gain as many qualifications as I can before applying for a visa to migrate to oz

Can anyone tell me which qualifications are the best to obtain, nvqs or diplomas ?
I realise it was nvqs but have since had people tell me that they are being phased out ???
So I thought perhaps vtct diplomas , can anyone tell me if these are accepted in australia ???
Any help would be great as my brain is now mush :Scared:

Try and contact the British Embassy in Australia. They should be able to put you in touch with organisations who will be able to tell you what qualifications will be recognised.

Hii, I am from Australia, if you need any info on imigrating you can PM me :)
But the best qualification to have in the beauty industry for OZ is a Diploma in Beauty therapy but for hairdressing a Certificate 3 covers almost everything but you could do your Certificate 4 for advanced colouring, the Diploma in Hairdressing is for salon owners it covers the business side :D

Helloooo thank you so much for the replies, I have contacted the embassy , was on hold for 30 mins for them to tell me to look on their website , I still couldn't find a simple answer :-( x

Elaine a huge thank you, you have no idea how long I spent searching and asking just to get a simple answer, you are a star !!!
I want to specialise in makeup artistry and hair styling, pref theatre, media etc..

So I am thinking perhaps do diploma is beauty therapy and then add on diplomas in MUA ????
Hopefully this would work

If you don't mind I will prob inbox you and end up picking your brains ;-)
Many thanks

I know it was a long time ago, but in 2004 me an oh went there with a view to emigrating. If you look at the criteria on their website it will tell you what skills they are looking for. At that time, beauty therapists were not on there, but hairdressers were. It also varies from state to state - I was looking at Western Au (Perth) as at that time it was one of the easier states to enter. Have a good look, see what each State wants, train in that and go for it - you can always change career paths once you get there. hth and good luck xxx

ps, one of my friends was a stockbroker desperate to get there, but that job wasn't on the list, so he retrained as a carpenter, moved, and instantly got a city stockbroking job!
